Join us for an inspiring free online screening of grassroots short films made for the Stories to Action project – a non-profit pilot initiative co-designed and co-run by youth interns. This event showcases a selection of the winning videos, each under 3 minutes, created by young first time video-makers aged 12-26 from Australia, Philippines, New Zealand, India, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
These films address critical sustainability issues, from waste management to bee conservation to collective action, demonstrating the power of youth voices in driving environmental change. The project seeks creative ways to bridge the gap between storytelling an action, using peer-to-peer engagement through youth ambassadors in Vietnam and The Philippines, and encouraging viewers to take an environmental action pledge.
Following the screenings, there will be a brief Q&A session and opportunities to contribute ideas to the project’s development – as we’re also seeking collaborators to help take this pilot project to the next stage.
By sharing these videos across geographic and cultural boundaries, we encourage broader perspectives on sustainability. So join us for an hour of inspiration, education, and engagement as we explore sustainable solutions through the eyes of youth across the region.
