If you’re aged 25-40 years old wanting to participate in a fun, community matchmaking event that’s good for the environment, then check out one of our free Rubbish Dating events.
This is a great opportunity to meet single, like-minded locals in a semi-structured speed dating setting – while picking up rubbish to help clean up our beautiful local environment!
Once you’ve been paired with everyone (6-minute pairings) for litter pick-up duties, you’ll have a chance to mingle on-site with a free coffee from the coffee cart.
After the event, we’ll send you a form to see who you’d like to match with. Participants’ contact details will only be provided when there is a mutual match.
We have;
two heterosexual sessions; and
two queer sessions*,
*Please note: All participants will be paired up for 6-minute intervals. Given the diverse range of people expected to attend the queer session, not everyone you will be paired with will be a potential romantic match, so we encourage you to please think of these sessions as a social gathering for the LGBTQIA+ community with the potential to make a romantic connection. We recommend openly communicating about what you’re looking for, so that everybody can get the most out of their Rubbish Dating experience.
These events will be hosted by a professional speed dating facilitator. Innapropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be able to ‘opt-out’ of a pairing if anyone is making you feel uncomfortable. These processes will be communicated to all participants at the beginning of the event.
