A sustainability themed art workshops and exhibition.
This month-long youth-focused professional art exhibition is designed to empower school-aged participants in the inner west and Melbourne. The event is entirely free and aims to provide young artists with the tools and inspiration to create unique art installations and artworks, both 2D and 3D, using locally sourced recycled materials.
The project focuses on environmental themes and sustainability, encouraging youth to envision and express their dreams for the future while being environmentally conscious. The workshops, scheduled for February 24 & 25, will guide participants in creating their artworks, fostering creativity, and promoting thoughtful use of materials to divert items from landfills.
Participants will have the opportunity to take part in every step of the process, from creating their artworks to installing them at the exhibition.
The goal is to give a voice to the youth, encouraging them to think critically about the materials they use and inspiring them to shape the futures they desire.
Open to all school aged students, aged 5 to 18 years of age.
