This two-hour beginner workshop is designed to support people noticing and connecting with nature. Within a natural setting, the session combines creativity, science and mindfulness. We start with a guided sensory exploration, and then turn to capturing some of nature’s treasures on the page. Kathleen provides warm-up exercises, examples and templates to draw on, and suggestions so participants can create their own nature journal pages. All levels of experience are welcome, and all supplies provided.
At the end of this session, participants will have created at least two nature journal pages, learnt specific skills to connect with nature and to capture time in nature on the page in different ways. Participants take home the nature journal pages created, plus specific skills and ideas to continue connecting with nature at home.
This workshop is tailored for beginners and those who don’t consider themselves creative. It is suitable for those who are interested in connecting with nature, exploring creative ways to spend time in nature, or those who may be wanting to be more mindful while keeping their hands busy.
