Bring up to five items of gently used children’s clothing to swap with others. Upon arrival, we’ll collect your items to sort, and you’ll hear from Amelia and Rachel from Village Greening as they share the exciting work they’re doing to green Darebin’s shopping precincts, one precinct at a time.
Currently focused on Fairfield, they’re working on a range of eco-friendly initiatives to promote a culture of reuse and will discuss the impact of fast fashion and share practical alternatives so we can all contribute to creating a more sustainable future. Then, the swap begins!
Children’s Clothing Swap Essentials:
• 5.30 – 6.00pm: Drop-off time (please arrive for the drop off time otherwise your items may not be accepted)
• 6.15pm – 7pm: Village Greening presentation
• 7pm – 7. 45pm Swapping
• Bring: up to five items of children’s clothes in good condition for age groups 0-12
• Please don’t bring: underwear, swimwear, socks, costumes, anything stained, torn or unclean or noticeably worn out, shabby, pilling or frayed items
• This is a free event, but spaces are limited so please register.
