This no-cost, in-person workshop is part of the City of Whittlesea’s Sustainable Communities Workshop Series 2024.

Join us as Lucinda Flynn, accredited scorecard assessor and energy efficiency trainer of Going Green Solutions provides an overview of energy efficiency. With a focus on simple, low-cost upgrades, this workshop is geared toward renters, low-income households, and anyone who wants to make some fast improvements and are happy to do some simple DIY.

We will cover:
-Context of home energy efficiency in Vic
-Defining energy efficiency
-Reviewing the Energy Scorecard
-Key impacts on home energy efficiency and comfort
-Rebates and financial incentives
-Draught proofing
-Ceiling insulation
-Windows (coverings, pelmets, glazing, DIY clear acrylic, bubble wrap, etc)
-External shading
-Low-cost appliance upgrades
-Rebates and financial incentives

Snacks will be provided.
This workshop is for those aged 18+.
Registration is required.

The CoW Sustainable Communities Workshop Series aims to up-skill City of Whittlesea community members in the art of sustainable, climate-resilient living and community-building.

Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions to be entered into a prize drawing at the series’ end. Every workshop participant will also receive a certificate of recognition for their participation and have the opportunity to share their learnings and creations at the celebration showcase in November 2024.
